About me

What makes counselling different than talking to a friend?

I am a qualified therapist and registered BACP member with extensive training on how to support people. What’s discussed in the room is strictly confidential and provides you the opportunity to discuss your life experiences in a non-judgemental, empathic environment. I won’t offer advice, but assist in taking action toward your goals and what’s important to you. The key difference is that the session is all about you and your wellbeing.

I work in a humanistic, confidential, client centred way to help you explore problematic areas and support you moving forward. Offering long term or short term face to face work.

I can’t guarantee my style of therapy will suit your taste but I’d like the chance to work with you if:

- You want to make a change

- You’re willing to invest the time to make it happen

- You’re prepared to put in the work with my support

What to expect

Each session lasts 50 minutes with an introductory assessment. During the assessment I will explore your current issues, a brief background history and discuss the best course of therapy for you. My role as a counsellor is to support you and help facilitate change with a therapeutic alliance. I work from an integrative approach, a combination of person centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy.
